What I find Amazon to be best for are finishing touches like wall shelves, drawer pulls or knobs; chairs or stools; small furniture pieces like side tables; lamps and other decor.

Yes, you read it correctly! Facebook Marketplace is my absolute top place to find furnishings for my short-term rentals. Not only can you find the best quality and most beautiful items on Marketplace, you’ll save hundreds, if not thousands of dollars by purchasing furniture this way.
You’ll want to go in knowing exactly what you’re looking for before starting your search on FB Marketplace. My suggestion is to search for vintage pieces. Vintage pieces bring so much character to a design and they are almost always made at a better quality than anything you can find today. I look for vintage pieces made of solid wood such as:
- Desks
- Dining Tables
- Dressers
- Nightstands
